OUR LADY OF THE ANGELS S.F.O.

The Our Lady of the Angels S.F.O. will meet on Wednesday, August 11, at 6:30 P.M. in the Tovet Room of the church. All are welcome. At 7 P.M. please join them in the church proper for the celebration of the Transitus of St. Clare, commemorating her passing from this life to the next. For those with questions, call Lynn Carney at 323-5537, or Kathy Ricardi at 323-9023.


The "Growing in Faith" newsletter that is distributed to parishioners on hard copy once a month is now available online under "Faith Lifters" or by clicking here.  The August edition is now available.  (updated 7/24/2010)


FR. JOHN CORAPI BUS TRIP

Join us October 29-30, 2010, at a conference entitled "Spiritual Warfare" featuring Fr. Corapi, an inspiration on EWTN and on the Light House Media CDs.  Imagine how powerful he'll be in person!  Our trip includes a visit to the Knights of Columbus Museum, three meals and one night hotel stay.  The cost is $229 per person - 2 in a room.  Info:  Michelle Gousy at 323-7956.

ANNUAL PARISH TAG SALE
August 28th
Rain or Shine

Biggest Fundraiser of the Year!

It’s time to start collecting and packing saleable items for our annual Tag Sale!

KICK-OFF MEETING FOR ALL VOLUNTEERS:
A meeting will be held in the Pine Room of the St. Francis Parish Social Center, Wednesday, July 28th, at 7 P.M.

DONATIONS:
Drop off dates (to the Pine Room of the Parish Social Center):
August 1-23, 8 AM- 8 PM every day
Deliveries cannot be accepted prior to August 1st.
No donations will be accepted after August 23rd.

STORAGE SPACE:
There will be a need for storage space in the weeks prior to the sale.  Please contact Ray Coulombe at 323-7224 if you are aware of available space.

VOLUNTEERS:
The Tag Sale also requires many volunteers from August 1st throughout the month – particularly on Friday and Saturday, August 27th & 28th.

SPECIAL HELP NEEDED:
 There will be a special need for all types of trucks, vans and trailers from 3 P.M.  to late evening on Friday, August 27th, to transport goods from the parking lot, behind the Parish Social Center, to the sale location on the Common.  It will be very helpful to the Tag Sale Committee if people with transport vehicles would sign up prior to August 27th, so that necessary plans can be made.  A special effort will be made after the sale to salvage as many of the unsold items as possible, so we will need a good cleanup team, beginning at 1:30 P.M., Saturday, on the Common.  Kevin Kervick will be in charge of the cleanup.  Volunteers should report to Kevin to insure that everyone is working together in a well-organized effort.
